My work employs patterns and shapes as I explore composition, balance, and color. The latter being a common thread throughout my work as an artist; be it in a non-representational or representational vein.

Numerous media and visual triggers serve as material / inspiration for my work. Among them – designs on tissue boxes and linens, photographs, wood grain and tree bark etc. Often, I boil down the visual material to simpler forms, crop, cut and recombine them. At times juxtaposing seemingly disparate images into a new composition through paintings and collages.

Elements of my work multi-task. Images can become forms and patterns; patterns can create a framework for color and colors can suggest a narrative.  Together, they can suggest a story line for the viewer to complete.

I have exhibited at Urban Studio + Unbound in Yonkers and on Yellow Fine Arts.  I’ve enjoyed a solo exhibit at Polk State College, FL and have participated in several group exhibitions - including exhibits at The Brooklyn Museum of Art, NY, Saint Stephen’s of Hungary Church, NY and ArtWork/MoMA Employee Exhibition, NY.

My work is in several private collections and in the collection of Conde' Nast.

I currently reside in Yonkers and Shandaken NY.
